Annul/Annulment To make void, dissolve or nullity the marriage and make it was never legally valid or became invalid after married that which once existed to annul a marriage. Annulment wipes out or invalidates the entire marriage and ends the marriage. It does not affect the former as it never existed. A legal annulment is a court action that voids the marriage and proclaims that the marriage was never legally valid in the first place. It is like the marriage never happened. Mental Incapacity - either spouse was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the marriage and was unable to make informed consent. Inability to Consummate Marriage - either spouse was physically incapable of having sexual relations or impotent during the marriage.
