A legal annulment - The grounds of legal Annulment that regarding Bigamy, illegal marriage, mental illness, Mental Incapacity, Habitual Drunkenness or Drug Addiction, Unsound Mind, Fraud, Forced, Imprisonment and abandonment

Annul/Annulment To make void, dissolve or nullity the marriage and make it was never legally valid
or became invalid after married that which once existed to annul a marriage. Annulment wipes out or
invalidates the entire marriage and ends the marriage. It does not affect the former as it never existed.
A legal annulment is a court action that voids the marriage and proclaims that the marriage was never
legally valid in the first place. It is like the marriage never happened. The fraud must be proven by
virtually of a witness or other external evidence. The time limit is 3 years of the date for the fraud was
discovered.

The most common grounds for annulment include below as:

Bigamy - At the time of the marriage, either spouse was already legally married to another person
wherever in any country.

Marriage Prohibited By Law - The marriage is prohibited by law due to the relationship between the
parties that based on their familial relationship is considered incestuous.

Habitual Drunkenness or Drug Addiction - one of spouse's addictive on drug or habitual drunkenness
for a period of 12 or more consecutive months at the time of the marriage.

Mental Illness - either spouse was mentally ill or emotionally disturbed at the time of the marriage

Mental Incapacity - either spouse was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the
marriage and was unable to make informed consent.

Inability to Consummate Marriage - either spouse was physically incapable of having sexual relations
or impotent during the marriage.

Underage / Illegal age Marriage - either spouse was not a legal age for marriage and without required
from court approval or parental consent to enter into marriage.

Unsound Mind - when he or she is incapable of understanding the nature of the marriage contract and
the duties and responsibilities it creates. Marriage is voidable if, at the time of the marriage, either party
was of unsound mind, unless that party, after coming to reason, freely cohabited with the other as
husband or wife. An action for a judgment of nullity on the ground of unsound mind may be filed by the
spouse, or by a relative or conservator of a party of unsound mind, at any time before the death of
either party.

Unfaithful / Fraud exists in marriage -one of the spouse lied or misled to the other in some issues
that he / she would not have gotten married if he / she had known the truth.

Desertion / Abandoned - abandonment for consecutive 12 months or exceed. <See Desertion /

Imprisonment - Imprisonment of the either for consecutive time (mostly 18 to 36 months, depends on
the state >)

Forced Consent - one of the spouses was forced or threatened into marriage or the marriage was
based on fraud or forced.
